last week we had to make the difficult decision to have our sweet little pup pup put to sleep. she had a tumor growing in ear that was rapidly spreading & it had started to affect her brain. i think we were both a little in denial in about the whole situation, we had been discussing it off & on for a few weeks, but its hard to say "yes." who wants to say that? who wants to make that decision? its not easy to come to terms with. but we did. we both agreed. she was miserable, she wasnt herself anymore, & she had taken a turn for the worse. the night before we gave her lots of loves, took her on a walk to the ocean (her favorite place), & gave her lots of snacks that shes normally not aloud to have due to allergies. the next day it took everything i had to walk her out of our house. just because its the right decision doesnt make it any easier. we happened to be pup.sitting for our cousin & i was so happy that her cute pup was waiting at my house for me when i got home... i didnt have to come home to empty. but thats what our house has felt like since then... a little quiet & empty. its taking some getting used too. but our sweet little b has finally found peace & that makes me happy.
we got her when she was 6 weeks old. her favorite thing was the water. she drove across the country with us twice... once to new york & then again when we moved to california.
she loved to go for rides & especially liked to go do laundry with us at the laudromat. her favorite game was for ran to try & catch her paws... she would lay down, putter her paws under her face, & "bite" his hands when he tried to grab them.
she slept on our bed at night. she begged for scraps despite the fact they werent allowed. she was just plain adorable & we miss her.
I am so sorry Stephanie! These first few weeks are the hardest! Sending you lots of hugs from a friend thats been there!
